There aren’t many wedding fairs on offer this week and with Christmas lurking round the corner we thought we’d offer you some more festive inspiration. Christmas Day isn’t all about giving and receiving presents (okay quite a bit of it is), the nicest part of the day, for me, is getting the family together and enjoying each other’s company. My Christmas wouldn’t be the same without my mum convincing herself she’s forgotten something, my sister coming into my room to open stockings stupidly early (even though we’re 20 and 23) and a family member enjoying a bit too much wine and charades.

Throwing a great Christmas party is a difficult art to master, one of the best ways to reduce stress is to be organised. Make sure that nearly all the food is prepped by Christmas Eve so all you have to do on the day is cook the turkey and heat up the trimmings. One great tip – tin foil trays. If we’ve learnt one thing from extravagant American Thanksgiving dinners, it’s to cook as much as you can in disposable tin trays. Not the most economical but it’s only once a year and who wants to spend Boxing Day washing up? That day is reserved for rubbish telly and not a lot of moving.

At FabGifts4u we have a great range of party favours and decorations that will make your Christmas Day that extra bit special. A beautifully presented table and lots of decorations will keep all eyes distracted from any over-crispy potatoes or generous portions of sprouts. Stick with a couple of colours or get eccentric with a bit of everything, however you decide to decorate this Christmas make sure you add a bit of WeDoCompany style.

Make sure you share your Christmas decoration tips with us on Facebook and Twitter.

The Beatles weren’t wrong when they so famously sang ‘All You Need is Love’. It may be a bit of an exaggeration but when it comes to wedding, the whole love thing is pretty important! Two of a Kind Heart Shaped Cards

Today’s blog post is casino themed because, as a belated birthday celebration, I’m taking my first trip to do some gambling. I know someone who recently attended a wedding that had a casino themed reception and they said it was so much fun. Nobody has to spend any more than they can afford and guests were given a couple of chips to start them off.

A great addition to a casino or Las Vegas themed wedding are these Two of a Kind Heart Shaped Cards. Give them as favours to guests and dot them around on any casino tables you are using. They are a fun way to remember the wedding day by. Each pack comes in an individual box that can be personalised with a sticker reading whatever message you desire.

Mix and match these cards with some of our other Las Vegas Favours, take a gamble and organise a glamorous affair

Novelty Popcorn Cartons

The other half has gone to work for the night and I am left with the kitten and a bag of popcorn that my friend left here on Friday night. I have had really good intentions to give it back to her but I accidentally slipped and it fell open. Apparently the cat is a big fan too and we are now toffee popcorned out.

Wedding favours often contain sweets, mints or chocolates but why not try something a little different and give popcorn? These Novelty Popcorn Cartons are the perfect container for a sugary treat. These old school cartons are decorated with stripes of red hearts and look perfect with the customisable stickers available over at WeDoWeddingAccessories. This way you can add a personal touch to the cartons with the bride and groom’s names as well as the date of the ceremony.

Just make sure there are no kittens around when laying the tables or you’ll be fighting for your favours. Jog on kitties….

Good Wishes Pearlised Photo Coasters

One thing that is guaranteed to be needed at a wedding is a place to put your drink. The best way to keep your tables reasonably clean and drinks stable, i.e. not in the guests laps, is to invest in some coasters. For bonus points, invest is some that are lovely enough to double as a take away wedding favour.

Coasters can be placed on each table with a bag of sweets or goodies laid neatly on top. This way guests have a practical place to put their drinks and some pretty keepsakes. For a really unique touch, these Good Wishes Pearlised Photo Coasters can be made personal by adding a photo. Slip in a photo of the happy couple or leave it blank for guests to add their own. If you’re up for some real attention to detail, try to find a nice (or even better, embarrassing!) photo of each of your guests so the coasters can have a third use of a place card.

Musical Kittens!

Recently I’ve decided to take up the piano again so my old Casio keyboard got dragged down from my mum and dad’s attic and dusted off to look as good as new (ish). Oscar has taken a liking to it too, he has a bad habit of walking over the demo button when I’m halfway through a piece – possibly an improvement.

Music is said to be the food of love and therefore no good wedding should be without a bit of piano tinkling and a few cheesy 80s hits. If you have a wedding on the horizon and you want to add a musical touch throughout the day, decorate your reception tables with these Musical Note Place Card Holders. Each set of three has three different designs and add a rhinestone sparkle to the centrepieces. Use them to label your guests seats and consider running the theme throughout. Instead of numbering your tables, give them names of famous songs or albums – bonus points for whoever can guess the artist!

Two Part Glass Heart Holder

Keeping guests hands busy while the reception is kicking off is a challenge. You don’t want them starting on the drinks too early and the best man is still perfecting his speech. Looking for an easy and safe option? Crack open the bubbly and cover the tables with nibbles. Olives, crisps and dips – always a crowd pleaser!

These Two Part Glass Heart Holders are the perfect centrepiece to keep hungry guests going. The two pieces can be used together to make a heart shape or separately for all kind of combinations. Fill one with olives and the other with nuts or something that will fit your theme. A summer Moroccan themed wedding would create a perfect opportunity to fill them with falafal and houmous. They don’t need to be used just for starters, top them up with sweets or mints for post party treats.

At the moment they’d reduced so there’s no excuse not to add these great table decorations to your shopping basket.

Miniature Clear Acrylic Phantom Chairs

Add some drama, mystery and a little bit of glamour to your wedding day with some table decorations with a twist. These Miniature Clear Acrylic Phantom Chairs are wedding favours that will make your guests look twice.

While the decorations are transparent they will not be invisible on a reception table. The unique shine that these favours give off will fit with any theme and decor. Use them as place card holders or take away keepsakes, even use them as the perfect perch for a chocolate truffle. However you decide to display these mini chairs, they will add a touch to your tables that your guests will have never seen before.

The favours can be personalised with the bride and groom’s initials or full names or with the names of your guests to turn them into place cards. Don’t just take our word for it – check out the fantastic reviews we’ve got for them. Pull up a chair and go wedding favour shopping.

LOVE Cube Favor Boxes

Today, my kitten Oscar has learnt a pretty neat trick. Place any sized box, and I mean any size, somewhere nearby and he will immediately try and jump into it. It doesn’t matter whether it’s shoe box, a moving box or even a bag that is shaped a bit like a box, he will run across the room and dive straight in. My boyfriend was pretty made up to discover he could turn Oscar into a cardboard robot cat.

While he is still tiny, I would love to see if he fits into these ‘LOVE’ Cube Favor Boxes. Decorated with a letter on each side these boxes spell love on their own or can be arranged with another three to spell the word in a row. They would make perfect table decorations filled with sweets or mints and could be transformed into place names with the addition of a bit of ribbon and a tag.

Just make sure you keep any enthusiastic kittens out of the way!
