Add a spring to your step on your big day

Spring Weddings

So very nearly a snow day… we’re teased with a dusting then quickly reminded we live in Britain and we don’t do snow. Rather than looking at the soggy garden as a reminder we had a pretty miserable winter, instead let’s look at it at the first signs of a refreshing spring.

Spring is a time of new lives and new opportunities, and because of that it’s a popular time of year to get married. Tying the knot amongst the blossom and lambs is a romantic vision out of a Jane Austen novel. So how can you add some spring to your step on your big day?

Decorate your table with cute favours that bring the tweeting of birds to your tablecloth. These Miniature Natural Bird Nests are perfect place names. Fill with mini eggs or sweet treats and customise with your guests’ names. Alternatively these Miniature Metal Watering Cans will set the table and be the perfect accompaniment to a garden wedding.

If you want to give your guests something to take away with them, these Love Bird Salt & Pepper Shakers should do the trick. Add the details of your wedding onto the packaging and send your bridal party home with something sentimental.. and useful!

Wintery Weddings

Wintery Weddings

It didn’t take long for Winter to poke it’s cold head round the corner. It’s not all doom and gloom however because winter means lovely seasonal weddings.

You might not be able to guarantee powdery white snow for your big day but you can still add some wintery touches. We’ve got a range of winter wedding favours that will ensure there is a christmassey sparkle when you walk down the aisle.

These Sparkle Snowflakes make the perfect table decoration. Sprinkle them all over the tablecloths or simply add to place cards, gifts or flower arrangements. Match them up with some personalised ribbons to create the perfect table favour.

We can never resist something cute and these Miniature Snowglobes are no exception. Add a Mr and Mrs Snowman to your tables and give each guest something to remember your big day by. A hint of Christmas without all the glitter and sparkles.

Trick or Treat

It’s the first day of October and that means there’s a certain holiday on the horizon – Halloween. We saw this news article recently that shows one happy couple planning their dream wedding with a spooky twist.

It’s becoming more and more popular to have themed and unusual weddings, particularly this time of the year and it has made us think about how you could ‘do’ Halloween on your big day without it being too cheesy.

Ditch the plastic cobwebs and spiders and try something a bit more subtle. Instead of placecards on the tables you could buy individual pumpkins and carve out the number, fill it with candles for an extra romantic effect (just make sure you don’t do it too much in advance!)

Make the orange and black theme work with colored ribbons and balloons. Avoid bright and garish colours, try to choose more muted tones instead.

If you want the theme to run throughout the big day, choose autumn colours and flowers for the ceremony and think of funny spooky names for your food and drink. Think along the lines of witches brews and zombie fingers, just try not to gross out the guests too much!

Green Weddings

Green Weddings

Now when we say green weddings, we don’t mean a big day that looks like an excerpt from the Wizard of Oz, we mean a wedding with an eco-friendly or garden theme. We’re all paying more attention to the environment and the way we look after it, so why make your big day any different?

We’ve got all the makings for a Green Wedding, table decorations that will leave your guests with a warm fuzzy feeling that they’ve been part of something that will benefit our future, even if it’s just something little.

Our favourite green wedding accessory has to be these Plantable Thank You Cards. Set the favours on your table, or send them in the post afterwards, with a personalised message. Then, when the guests take them home, they can plant the favour card straight into the ground and watch them grow.

Not your cup of tea? How about these eco-friendly tote bags. They make a great favour that is practical too. If you’re feeling particularly generous, you could fill it with gardening goodies.

Autumn Weddings

Autumn Themed Wedding

An Indian summer has helped us cling onto the sunshine a bit longer but the autumn is still fast approaching. A beautiful season for weddings, the orange colours and crisp air are perfect backdrops to a big white dress.

On our wedoweddingaccessories website, you can search for wedding favours by season and right now the most popular are our autumn accessories. Make it obvious with acorns and golden leaves or keep it subtle with more natural touches.

We shouldn’t pick favourites but for this season we love these Acorn Candles. They look fantastic scattered on a reception table or personalise the labels and give them as thank you gifts. For something themed but less obvious, these Mini Pie Packaging Kits are so cute and look great with an autumn style, wild flowers and brown paper parcel and string themed wedding. Fill them with handmade pies for a unique and adorable table decoration.

Keep it extra classy with Venice Gold Toasting Flutes and say cheers with a brushed gold finish and Swarovski crystals. The set of two flutes can be personalised individually, making them a great wedding gift for any couples adding a touch of gold to their ceremony.

Gold is the colour of 50th Wedding Anniversaries. If you know a couple who have reached this amazing milestone, we have some fantastic gifts for them. A Perfect Love Golden Anniversary Plate can be personalised with their names, wedding date and a personal message before being signed by all the happy couple’s friends and relatives.
